Leadership with immediate benefits
Who you are
You’re a natural ‘organiser’. And there’s no big professional secret to it — bubbly people like you who can expertly juggle multiple tasks and think on their feet make some of our best Team Managers.
It’s all about organising people here because we’re really, honestly all about people. We’re opening brand new Argos Local Fulfilment Centres (LFCs) to offer a much better, quicker choice to our customers, who can choose home delivery or collection in a Sainsbury’s store. But we’re a long way from a dump-the-parcel-and-run outift. Each product on our shelves has a customer’s name on it, and we never, ever forget that.
What you’ll do
You’ll love the busy environment and the constant contact with your team. Whether you’re dispatching vans on time, managing the team doing the picking and packing, or seeing that inbound stock goes on the right shelf, you’ll enjoy incredible variety. All the while, you’ll be helping us make sure that products get safely to their new owners.
How that works
We’re friendly, welcoming and say ‘Hi’ to each other. We contribute ideas about how to do things better. And we’re all determined to make sure that the customer has the best experience with us, whether they’re picking an item up from a Sainsbury’s store or getting it delivered to their door. If you can organise teams to make sure that happens, you’ll have done the job and much, much more.
What about the future
There are so many options. One of our current team managers has told us that they’ve never worked in a job where the next step up was so attainable. We’ll be more than happy to help make you ready for that too. With development opportunities right across Sainsbury’s, you’ll be spoiled for choice.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll really benefit from the supportive, family feel and helpful management. What’s more, as you’ll be part of a Sainsbury’s-owned multi-brand retailer, there are many ways you could develop your career across different parts of the business.
Alongside this, we also offer a great range of benefits for all our colleagues, including:
- Discount card (after 4 weeks) for you and a second user that gives you 10% off on most items in Sainsburys, Argos and Habitat (Discount is increased at Sainsburys to 15% every payday for 5 days plus 15% at Argos on every payday)
- Food and hot drinks is provided in colleague areas in all our Local Fulfilment Centres
- Generous holiday entitlement, maternity and paternity leave.
- Pension – we’ll match 4-7% of your pension contributions.
- Sainsbury’s share scheme – build up an investment at discounted rates
- Wellbeing support – access to emotional support, counselling, legal and financial advice
- Colleague networks – link with like-minded people to help fulfil your potential.
- Our Cycle to Work scheme gives you the opportunity to hire a new bike and cycling equipment, whilst saving on tax and NI.
- Special offers on gym memberships, restaurants, holidays, retail vouchers and more.
