We are seeking team leaders with a who can manage and motivate teams to deliver our ambitions for the environment and our inclusive people priorities. You will promote our ambitions around equality, diversity and inclusion ensuring that everyone who works here makes the Environment Agency a life-enhancing place to work.
We have several team leader roles available (permanent and fixed term) and we welcome applicants looking for flexible working patterns, full time roles and reduced hours. We work as ‘one-team’ and you may be required in the future to lead a different team to respond to business demand.
This role includes the option to enrol on a fully funded ‘Team Leader Apprenticeship’ (Level 3).
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You are required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents, or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training is given. We will work with you to find a role that suits your interests and circumstances.
You'll be able to manage demands on your team from internal and external sources to help prioritise and manage workloads.
You'll have sound leadership skills and believe that providing great leadership is fundamental to our ability to protect and improve the environment for people and wildlife.
You should have experience of leading people and this may have been achieved through non-team leader roles.

You will take part in incident response and support your team to do the same.

Our hybrid working model combines home and office working, however you will be expected to attend the office for certain meetings.
