We are recruiting for a multi-asset dealer to lead our Trading Desk executing orders on behalf of Wealth Management clients.

The team
The Trading Desk is a centralised execution function within Wealth Management reporting into the Head of Investment Operations, located within the broader Investment Team. The team is responsible for executing over £15bn of orders annually in equities, bonds, ETFs, ETDs, structured products and private equity. The team services all Wealth Management entities in London, Guernsey, Singapore and Switzerland. The team relies on automation and efficiency to build a scalable platform for our internal clients and we are looking for an individual with an aptitude towards technology to help this progression.
What you'll do
- Overall responsibility for the team function of executing domestic and foreign securities, structured products, private equity, bonds, treasury bills and listed options and futures
- Represent the team within the wider business. Build and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders
- Initiate and deliver change to support business growth, driving scalability and efficiency
- Continually assess and review risk management across the team
- Take ownership the risk control assessment process
- Provide reporting and analysis for regular best execution reviews
- Lead on external relationships with traders, sales, and IT suppliers
- Support team career development and undertake appraisal process
- Best execution: use skills, experience and tools to ensure that we secure best execution for our clients
- Actively contribute to the technical and procedural development of the team to meet future needs and scalability requirements
- Participate in testing programs to assist with broader platform developments
- Ensure the correct transmission of executed trades
- Independently and proactively resolve trading related queries
- Collaborate with other trading desks within the Schroders organisation
- Conduct business in accordance with Schroders core values
- Compliance: ensure the team conducts themselves in line with Schroders policy
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Proven track record in effective team leadership
- Experienced in multi-asset trading, ideally within a Wealth Management context
- Full trading knowledge of Bloomberg (TSOX and EMSX) along with MS Office products
- Experience in auto routing and rules-based execution
- The ability to demonstrate a logical and structured approach to achieving desired outcomes along with excellent written and oral communication
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- SIX traders license, although the opportunity to achieve license will be provided
- An understanding of the Wealth Management industry
- Experience of Temenos T24 and MAX Order Management System
