Full Time Coventry, England 41659 - 47672 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

RISE, the mental health and wellbeing service for children and young people across Coventry and Warwickshire, is setting up a new team within its eating disorder service. The Home Treatment Team, a brand new offer, will deliver care in our young people’s homes, where they often feel most comfortable and where we can get maximum input from their family. We are seeking applicants to several new roles, including Home Visit Support Workers and an Admin Co-ordinator, to help us build this new offer.

We know that some young people find an inpatient environment intimidating and that admission, and later discharge, from these facilities can complicate the transition back into their day-to-day home life. By meeting with and helping young people at home where possible, we will prevent unnecessary admissions and see better outcomes for the families we work with.

The new Home Treatment Team will primarily support young people around mealtimes and will be guided by their family, tailoring help to fit around their life and needs. Supporting loved ones to understand the eating disorder and techniques they can use to manage difficulties around meals will be central to the team’s work. Building trust and relationships with young people and their families will therefore be critical.

RISE is a family of NHS-led services for children and young people (CYP) in Coventry and Warwickshire. Our transformation plan shows a continued commitment to invest in timely, responsive and creative services for young people.

RISE aims to empower CYP through emotional wellbeing and specialist mental health support. We provide wraparound support, help or advice to the adults in their life. RISE has received national funding for new and exciting developments, including a trailblazer pilot to improve access for CYP. RISE is part of a collaborative for CYP-IAPT to improve access to psychological therapies, seeking accreditation with CORC (Child Outcomes Research Consortium). Proudly, ourThink Family Outreach Teamreceived national acclaim via aNursing Times Workforce Award (2022).

RISE has excellent links with a network of universities, with a commitment to invest in teaching and training our individuals and teams. We have an established pioneering Preceptorship Programmes at multiple banding levels to support progression; we have a rich culture and heritage of‘Growing Our Own’.Given the family of services we offer, there is the opportunity to upskill and develop in skills and therapies amongst the wealth of expertise and knowledge in our workforce. Staff wellbeing is a priority, we have a robust quality supervision structure: Clinical, Managerial, Preceptorship, Peer and Safeguarding. As a RISE Family under the auspices of CWPT we always have: People at Our Heart.
