The team
In Media & Entertainment we commission brilliant programmes in a full range of genres, including a wealth of entertainment formats, high-quality drama & comedy, must-watch sporting events, impactful factual and award-winning current affairs and journalism. We make this available to audiences through our family of channels, the biggest commercial network in the UK, and through ITVX.
The role
You will be providing comprehensive administrative support to the Head of Drama, Head of Scripted Comedy and Commissioning team.
As a Team Assistant at ITV, your duties include managing and optimising schedules, handling both internal and external calls professionally, solving day-to-day issues, and fostering trustworthy relationships within and outside the team. You'll also manage various types of correspondence, arrange meetings and handle necessary logistics, book domestic and international travel, and maintain an efficient filing system. Moreover, you'll carry out administrative tasks like photocopying, scanning, managing purchase orders, tracking invoices, processing expenses, and maintaining a departmental holiday chart. Confidentiality is key in all matters. Ad-hoc tasks and other department-specific responsibilities will also be part of your role.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Previous TA, PA, or Production Coordinator experience
- Experience of managing multiple people in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing complex/multiple diaries
- Proven experience of working in a television or media environment
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Demonstrably strong communication skills, with the confidence and tact to liaise with a wide cross-section of senior level and external contacts, building good interpersonal relationships with the main client groups.
- Ability to maintain a clear perspective of the departmental priorities, to focus on relevant tasks and timeframes.
- The ability to adapt and be flexible in accommodating short-term changing needs
- Efficient typing skills with an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- The ability to work independently using own initiative as well as forming part of a close-knit, established team
- Effective and proven organisational skills
