Job description
You will support the School of Bioscience in its delivery of Undergraduate practical programs, working collaboratively with staff to support delivery of the practical classes.
Reporting to the Senior Technical Team Manager you will primarily support the teaching laboratories with duties such as preparation, labelling and maintenance of consumables, reagents, media, materials and equipment for practical classes, working closely with the teaching technical team, as well as providing a glass washing and sterilizing service for the teaching team.
Applicants must have 5 GCSEs A*-C/ 4+ including English, Maths, Science and ICT or a Level 3 Technical Apprenticeship. Experience of working in a laboratory along with knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices are also essential.
