Gwenllian Education Centre are looking for a dynamic and committed male Teaching Assistant to join their team to work directly with a male student on a full-time basis.
Teaching Assistants at our specialist school support children between the ages of 5 - 19 years old, educating pupils across the Autism Spectrum.
Our staff have the benefit of a high staff to pupil ratio, regular contracted school hours, access to our in-house induction and training programme, 13 weeks paid holidays a year and an opportunity to work with our specialist staff including our Specialist Teacher and Behaviour Analysts.
We are looking for individuals who have experience and knowledge of:
- Supporting children with autism
- Managing and supporting children that exhibit behaviours that challenge
- Motivating children to learn
- Effectively using ICT to support learning
- Self-evaluating learning needs and actively seeking learning opportunities
- Relating well to children and adults
- Working constructively and flexibly as part of a team
