Job description
The Language Unit is part of IPaSS and provides specialist support for children aged 3 – 11 with severe speech and / or language development delay.
The dedicated and passionate Language Unit staff comprises Specialist Language Teachers, Specialist Teaching Assistants and Speech and Language Therapists.
We are looking for that special someone to join this team as a Grade 4 TA to support the delivery of progress- enhancing teaching and learning activities for individuals and small groups. You will work alongside teachers and therapists on bespoke, specific, focused and intensive interventions. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and understand the impact of speech and language difficulties on well-being, self-esteem, relationships and accessing the curriculum and the world. You will also be passionate about wanting to help to bridge that SLCN gap for children. If this is you, please apply!
Our staff will help train, nurture, coach and mentor you to become a Specialist Teaching Assistant, skilled in working with children with speech and language development delay.
The post is full time; term time only.
