Required from March 2023;
A 1:1 Teaching Assistant is required to support pupils that need additional support in the classroom. No formal qualifications are required.
The successful applicant will:
· be patient, nurturing and flexible in their approach to supporting young people to achieve their potential
· preferably have a good knowledge of supporting children with emotional/attachment needs/pastoral needs
· possess many strategies for engaging and motivating pupils
· have sound literacy and numeracy skills and to be an effective communicator
· have a knowledge of how to support children with English as an additional language
· have effective positive behaviour management strategies and a commitment to helping young people to be happy and successful within a fully inclusive learning environment
· be passionate about accessing continual professional development to help the young people they will be working with
· attend occasional additional meetings with the young person’s parents
· liaise closely with the parents of the young person
· liaise effectively with professionals such as Headteacher, class teacher, pastoral care officer, SENCo, and other professionals.
· be a cooperative team member.
· be able to demonstrate initiative in their approach.

This role is 5 mornings a week 8.50am to 11.50am, and afternoons 1pm - 3.30pm. The role may continue beyond this school year.

Salary: £12.06-£12.50 per hour
