Position: Teaching Assistant (Reception Class)
As a Teaching Assistant at M2 Education, you will be working within a Reception class, providing essential support to children with special educational needs (SEN). Your role will involve working closely with the class teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your dedication and expertise will play a crucial part in helping children achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning plans for children with SEN, focusing on their individual needs and abilities.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, offering guidance and encouragement to facilitate their learning and social development.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to implement specialized interventions.
- Help prepare and organize learning resources, materials, and activities that cater to the needs of students with SEN.
- Monitor and record the progress of individual students, providing feedback and reports to the class teacher.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role, preferably within a Reception class or with children with SEN.
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and strategies for supporting children with diverse learning requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with young learners, supporting their emotional and academic growth.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the classroom environment.
- Hold a relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate, or equivalent.
