Key Responsibilities will include:
The ideal candidate will work with a professional team and they will get plenty of support and training for all the activities of the floor: customer service, knowledge of the menu and stock management. Any experience with Italian products & pasta is appreciated. Preferable, but not essential, is a knowledge of the Italian language.
- Anticipate and attend to the guest’s needs and desires immediately to include special events like birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions and any special dietary requirements.
- Maintain appearance and personal hygiene in accordance with the restaurants grooming standards.
- Maintain a harmonious relationship with other staff, front of house and kitchen.
- Acquire a full knowledge of the restaurants food and beverage service policies and procedures.
- Maintain superior levels of food & beverage service to customers.
- Promote up selling of food and beverages.
- Prepare, mix and dispense non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages including cocktails.
- Take food and beverage orders.
- Deliver food and beverages to customers
- Delivering and clearing of plates (no less than 3 at a time) from the customer tables.
- Perform wine service operations of presenting, opening and pouring.
- Have working knowledge of the point of sale system for ordering and cashiering
- Perform cashiering duties of customers payment of bill
- Clean,wipe and sanitise all areas when required.
- Comply with the restaurants standards when producing and dispensing food and beverages products.
- Maintain an acceptable degree of knowledge with regard to food and beverage products on the menus including allergens and special dietary issues
- Participate in all rostered theoretical and on-the-job training sessions.
- Be able to operate and make all coffee and tea products from the espresso machine to the high level of standard required.
- Be able to meet and greet customers at the door and then seat customers at their table
- Comply with all of the restaurants operational policies & procedures.
- Ensure that all areas are stocked in accordance with established levels to include bar fridges and other storage areas
- Be able to report effectively all operations to the manager
- Manage the seating arrangements for all customers
- Maintain a clean & safe working environment.
- Adhere to all established cashiering policies and procedures.
- Ensure the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment
- Complete all assigned opening and closing duties.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Perform any other duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
You are:
A passionate and driven professional, with customer facing experience gained either front of house or behind a bar in a busy restaurant. Alongside being a great communicator (with a good level of English if not mother tongue), you are naturally organised, detail orientated, and full of energy to learn new skills alongside;
- The ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Ideally a minimum of 1-years experience.
- Passionate about customers, pasta, food and hospitality.
- A team player
- You will need to be flexible; working across a rotating 6-day rota. Which may change at short notice.
- Located within reliable commuting distance of M4 postcode area is essential or a willingness to relocate
