Main Responsibilities - This job description indicates on the main duties and responsibilities of the post. It is not intended as an exhaustive list.
- To support the class teacher effectively.
- To effectively deliver the curriculum ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met (in conjunction with other team members).
- Support all staff and be an effective and collaborative team member.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and learning needs.
- To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories.
- To undertake duties as directed by the Head of Pre-Prep adhering to school procedures.
- To advise the Head of Pre-Prep of any concerns e.g. over children, parents, the safety of the environment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
- To be flexible within working practices of the setting undertaking additional responsibilities when needed such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleaning of equipment etc.
- To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to the role and the safe running of the Pre-Prep.
- Attend out of hours activities as necessary, e.g. training, open mornings, staff meetings, parents' evenings, playsheme, school fairs and similar.
- Maintain complete confidentiality at all times regarding any information relating to children, their families or other staff.
- To ensure excellent standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum L2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
