GBP £28,000 - £43,685 per year ( MPS/UPS) salary negotiable for an excellent candidate
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of Science to join our dynamic department. The department has made huge strides, whereby we achieved our highest ever biology, chemistry and physics results in 2021-22, which were all above national averages, and we continued our trend of improvement in combined science. Overall, 71% of all science qualifications achieved grade 4 or above. The Academy became part of Outwood Grange family of Schools in 2022 and, as a member of that family, we are totally committed to providing the best possible education for every child, with a focus on creating a culture of success and a positive climate for learning.
The Science Department at Outwood Academy Hindley is a large and thriving department. Our team of specialist teachers deliver high quality lessons in specialist labs all contained within a purpose-built building. This is supported by our highly experienced team of technicians.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Science who has high aspirations for our students. You will have good subject knowledge, a passion for Science, and want students to love Science as much as we do. As a member of the Outwood Family you will share our vision of “ Students First ”.
Our academy provides excellent career progression and training for staff. OGAT is proud to be a part of the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) hosting its North and East campus as Outwood Academy Redcar and Outwood Academy Adwick. The NIoT identifies best practice in education, in order to develop cutting-edge, evidence-based teacher training and professional development programmes.
