Job Title: Personal Assistant

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • To manage the diaries and email inbox for the clinical director and clinical lead for palliative medicine.
  • To be the first point of contact for external and internal parties, co-ordinating queries, and responses.
  • Dealing with telephone queries from members of staff, patients, relatives, and other organisations.
  • Preparing documents for distribution working to a very tight deadline.
  • To deal with sensitive and confidential business and act appropriate.
  • Have an oversight and take ownership of large pieces of work and on behalf of the clinical director and clinical lead.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience in a similar/PA role
  • Excellent typing and IT skills
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience in minute taking and diary management
  • High level administrative skills
