About the role:
Activate Learning are looking for a Law and Politics Teacher to join our established teaching team at our Reading College campus.
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals with the ability to inspire to deliver teaching on our A Level Law and Access Politics programmes.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. Alternatively, this could be an ideal development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or graduate in politics or law looking to get into teaching.
This is a fixed-term, part-time position working 15 hours per week (0.41 FTE) until July 2024, based at our Reading College campus.
What do you need to be successful as a Law and Politics Teacher at Activate Learning?
We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
Successful candidates will have an appropriate professional qualification at Level 3 or above within the subject area.
Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications to teach on these courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will also have strong organisation skills coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
