We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Controller to join our team on a flexible part-time basis.
As a Flexi Part-Time Financial Controller, you will have the responsibility of overseeing and coordinating with our bookkeeper and accountant to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our financial processes.
Your primary focus will involve managing, organizing, and maintaining a tidy and efficient workflow, ensuring deadlines are met, checking the work of others, and setting priorities to optimize our financial operations.
About your role :
- Quality Control: Review the work of the bookkeeper and accountant to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established financial policies and procedures. Conduct periodic audits to identify any discrepancies or potential issues and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate existing financial processes, systems, and procedures to identify areas for improvement. Implement best practices, automation, and streamlined workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Set Priorities: Assess the workload of the financial team and set priorities to maximize efficiency and productivity. Coordinate with other departments and management to understand their financial needs and provide guidance on prioritization based on the overall business objectives.
- Deadline Management: Track and manage financial deadlines, including but not limited to tax filings, financial reporting, and vendor payments. Coordinate with the bookkeeper and accountant to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet all regulatory requirements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, statements, and analysis to the management team. Consolidate financial data from various sources and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Stay up to date with financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry standards. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and provide guidance on financial implications of any changes in regulations.
What we are looking for:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- You have at least 5 years of related experience in Accounting
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, the ability to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

Qualifications: aBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and management- Strong knowledge of accounting software (Xero)
Excellent analytical skills- Strong attention to detail- Ability to work independently and as a team leader.

Salary: £20.45-£35.00 per hour
