Tax Manager, Transfer Pricing

Group Tax is a key function within the Finance community of LBG, having responsibility for owning our Group's tax affairs, ensuring that the tax consequences of all transactions are understood and that the group is in compliance with all of its statutory obligations. The pace of legislative and regulatory change makes this an exciting time to join the Group Tax team and contribute to the Group vision.
This specialist role will support LBG’s business activities with particular emphases on:

Service provision/Cost allocation across the group

All aspects of Group Treasury Activities

Meeting transfer pricing documentation obligations

Profit attribution for overseas branches

Providing specialist transfer pricing support on internal restructuring and acquisition & disposal projects

Supporting interactions with tax authorities and regulators
-
Ad-hoc advice in relation to various product offerings
You'll assist the group’s Transfer Pricing Senior Manager in day to day transfer pricing matters. You'll establish a positive relationship with key partners in tax, finance and the business to contribute by being a recognised TP specialist.
You'll work across the wider LBG business and control functions, to understand the applicability of tax policies and implementation of these. You'll be responsible for ensuring alignment to and full compliance with a range of group policy requirements.
This role calls for the ability to work with process and participate in project management initiatives in the changing tax world. This will include coverage of tax risk management within a SOX, and Senior Accounting Officer environment, to the backdrop of growing public scrutiny of tax affairs of large corporates, at the same time as growing obligations to be transparent. You’ll focus on continuous improvement including process efficiencies, and simplification.
Depending upon the candidate’s experience, there may be scope to extend the role to cover various other international tax aspects impacting the group.
Tax legislation is changing and evolving and therefore focus on tax matters requires the need to proactively engage in self-development and professional training initiatives for you as well as other colleagues.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications

Transfer pricing or tax specialist with an established track record within practice or industry in that area

Professional Accountancy, Tax and/or Economics qualifications, e.g. ACA, CA, ATT, CTA, ADIT

Good current knowledge and experience of transfer pricing guidance and relevant tax legislation

Good understanding of risk expectations for a tax function impacted by SOX, SAO, and Public Tax Strategy regimes

Financial Services background

We work in hybrid ways which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our office sites.
