The Firm’s Tax Department is responsible for providing tax compliance services to the firm, its Partners and employees, including corporate tax, personal tax, international tax for international project workers and assignees, benefits reporting, and VAT compliance.

Your role in Firm’s Tax may take in a variety of activities across some or all of the following taxes.

Business & Partnership Tax

Responsible for the preparation and submission of the UK business tax returns, including the main annual Partnership tax return as well as the corporate tax returns of its subsidiaries.

VAT

Advising the business on VAT compliance, ensuring the accounting and invoice systems are kept up to date with any VAT legislative changes, and for preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns to HMRC.

Employment Tax

Responsible for ensuring taxable benefits are reported appropriately to HMRC and employees as well as responsibility for the preparation and submission of the annual PAYE Settlement Agreement to HMRC.

International Business Tax

Responsible for the identification and reporting of any overseas tax filings which are required due to our cross-border projects and advising the business on the potential cost impact of withholding tax and how this can be minimised.

International Personal Tax

Responsible for the payroll and income tax affairs of our overseas project workers, as well as our inbound and outbound assignee population.

Partner Tax

Responsible for the completion and submission of equity partner UK income tax returns and organising payments of income tax to HMRC from tax reserves retained and the subsequent reconciliation of reserves through to settlement with HMRC.

Personal independence
