About the role

As our Talent Negotiator & Operations Specialist, you will operate as an integral part of the Distributed Talent function, owning and optimising operations integral to the commercial actions of the team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiating rates
  • Defining, documenting and implementing a structured approach to negotiating with resources deployed across our client portfolio
  • Taking responsibility for all data, data capture and analysis within Talent, enabling us to become a truly data-driven function
  • Forecasting and managing talent supply based on client demand
  • Maintaining our commercial rate cards ensuring we provide up-to-date insight and rate analysis
  • Building commercial capabilities within Talent Fulfilment through training and consultative guidance
  • Providing contractor rate insight by securing market data from internal and external sources, focused on skillsets and geographies around the world
  • Operating as an internal subject matter expert on all aspects of resource negotiation

Initially the role will be a stand alone position, however as the organisation continues to scale there will be opportunity to develop a talent insights function which will be integral to the pre-sales process, providing the commercial team with critical market insight to bolster sales success.

Requirements:

  • Considerable experience in delivering contingent workforces in software development, likely at an agency, managed service provider or RPO organisation
  • Successful management of enterprise-level contingent workforce client relationships
  • Deep understanding and up-to-date knowledge of UK and EMEA software talent markets
  • Keen analytical mindset focused on driving commercial success through data analysis
  • Experience operating internationally with market knowledge and networks
  • Background in defining and embedding commercial negotiation processes to optimise margin
  • Ability to deploy new processes and drive adoption across teams

Day-to-Day Duties
On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Design and implement operational processes to enable smooth contracting workflow
  • Collect and analyse negotiation data, rates, and market trends to inform company strategy
  • Provide hands-on strategic consulting to optimise value and margin for talent negotiations
  • Maintain rate card analysis by continuously evaluating market movements and internal data
  • Consult with sales teams to advise on competitive and achievable rates
  • Develop strong relationships with talent community as subject matter expert and advisor
  • Stay on pulse of industry and regional talent supplier landscape and trends
