The Highland Soap Company is looking for a new team member to join our fast growing, local business!
This is an exciting opportunity in a key role within our company, based in beautiful Lochaber. We are looking for an administrative assistant to provide support for the wholesale sales team (3) and the administrative team (2). This will be a year-round, permanent full-time position within our company.
You'll need to have a can-do attitude, be a real self-starter and enjoy talking to and dealing with customers on the phone as well as proactively finding solutions to problems. You should able to work well in a small team and be excited about the prospect of being part of a dynamic and expanding company.

Your mornings might look like this:
- Managing daily wholesale customer email and telephone enquiries
- Processing wholesale orders for our gift shop and hotel customers, up-selling on the phone as appropriate
- Issuing invoices and proforma
- Maintaining and updating sales and customer records
- Managing export paperwork
In the afternoons your day might look like this:
- Inputting daily shop sales figures into our Quickbooks accountancy software
- Responding to customer service phone or email queries about our products or shipping
- Ordering supplies for our office, factory, café or shops
Ideally we are looking for the following skills:
- Previous experience in an admin / operational role
- Computer literate with a willingness to learn
- Able to prioritise workload efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Shopify or Unleashed or an accounting software would be advantageous but not essential
Career progression would be into sales or a more senior administrative role.
The role will be with our sales team in our office, which is located in our factory. It will be 8.30-5, Monday-Friday with statutory holidays.
