Job description

The Role:

Establishing our People function, you will be responsible for:

  • Talent acquisition, team member performance, and staff retention.
  • Managing the company's recruitment initiatives across our business, using a proactive and objective approach that will help fuel company growth and allow the business to achieve its expansion goals.
  • Building and improving upon the established training plan to allow new hires to onboard and integrate easily and seamlessly into our wider operations.
  • Applying effective, results-driven hiring and training methods that will be discussed and revised with the Operations Director on an ongoing basis.
  • Working closely with the Growth Marketing Manager to productively communicate our company values and overall employment proposition to potential new hires.
  • Ensure talent retention by both tracking and managing key and company-wide well-being and performance metrics.

Applicants must have:

  • A commitment and passion for diversity and inclusion.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • 3+ years of experience & evidence of delivering high-performing hiring and training roles, projects, programs or campaigns.
  • A balanced, evidence-led view on the effectiveness of different hiring channels.
  • A well-structured understanding of what successful training models are and how to ably implement them in the context of the business.
  • An exceptional level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience operating within the research or expert network field is desirable but not essential.

As Polar Insight’s Talent Manager, You Will Be Expected To…

  • Oversee current models of recruitment and training, proposing new initiatives wherever applicable in both areas.
  • Work closely with the Operations Director to fully understand the expansion needs of the business, preemptively preparing hiring campaigns that will enable company-wide goals to be met with high-level candidates and, subsequently, future employees.
  • Adopt an analytical approach to both understand and act on potential pressure points that may impact employee morale and performance.
  • Work alongside the Operations team to design and implement initiatives that will drive growth and scale the impact of our work.
