The role that we are looking to recruit for is a Supervisor to join the VXO crossover team. We are looking for an experienced supervisor in Highways Maintenance. The candidate will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced, challenging environment with demanding targets. We are looking for someone with an excellent safety culture, a problem solver and a person who is flexible and able to adapt to a changing environment. Knowledge of working on a highways contract with a main contractor is essential and be able to work on own initiative.
Key Responsibilities;
• Planning and Programming the VXO works including liaising with the road space team
• Responsibility for site safety of the works team involved in the construction process and HSE processes are followed
• Monitoring the quality of workmanship
• Liaise with customers and HCC representative
• Participation in the Winter and Emergency Service as needed
• Manage a team of subcontractors on site
• Liaise with the permits team to get permits approved in relation to certain works
Ideal Candidate;
• Valid driving licence (HGV Class 2 would be beneficial)
• SSSTS CITB accreditation would be advantageous
• Lantra 12D T7 accreditation or NRWSA supervisor
• Knowledge of working on highways is essential
