Talent coach

As a Barclays Talent Coach, you will work with your new team to provide world class people and organization development services to support the future structure and strategy of the business. You will be report to the Lead Talent Coach and will be responsible for providing Programme support for all allocated cohorts with the goal of ensuring consistency of experience across all channels including pre-joining on-Programme and post Programme. The Talent and Development team strive to create a totally inclusive work culture based on diverse talent.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances.
What will you be doing?
- Provide Programme Support for all allocated cohorts ensuring consistency of experience across all Programmatic channels
- Maintain programme data accurately and compliantly to provide relevant analysis and MI as required
- Engaging with training providers/ Colleges and Universities to ensure all training provision is delivered to consistent high standards for allocated cohorts
- Own communications and make sure that both stakeholders and Line Managers understand key messages, and business updates.
- Ensure all line managers are given tools (including appropriate training) to manage Programmatic talent
- Ensure all relevant safeguarding protocol are in place and followed appropriately
- Supporting Programme Delivery activities as required
What we’re looking for:
- Problem solving capability and solution focused
- Ability to prioritise and effectively balance the needs of team and cohorts
- Experienced in coaching others and holding effective development conversations
- Able to lead difficult conversation and provide clear evidenced based feedback to team, cohorts and line managers
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience within HR, Talent Acquisition or coaching others and holding effective development conversations
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate data management skills
- Ability to prioritize and effectively balance the needs of team and cohorts
