Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will have the responsibility of supervising regional engineering teams and providing support to the Regional Technical Operations Manager. Your primary objective will be to ensure the safe, efficient operation, and maintenance of all plant and equipment within our diverse client portfolio, encompassing corporate, retail, and technical sites.

Your keen eye for detail and commitment to safety will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency. You will proactively identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Through regular monitoring and evaluation, you will be able to identify potential risks and address them promptly to mitigate any disruptions.

Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your role as you work closely with the Regional Technical Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities

  • To provide engineering advice, assistance and support to both engineers and FM support teams, across the selected region within the UK portfolio
  • Support out-of-hours response in emergency situations and support engineering call out rota as and when necessary as part of role, and to implement any necessary escalation procedures to RTOM as and when required
  • To participate in call out rota for Senior Supervisors
  • Assist with the effective use and upkeep of designated site documentation working in conjunction with nominated H&S representative ensuring all legal and statutory obligations are met
  • Identify, assess and address any technical training needs of regional team and identify training opportunities to improve regional skill sets
  • Ensure Regional Engineering team complete full self-delivery of all possible tasks within region
  • To complete PPMs and reactive work orders within given timescales and with accurate information
  • Ensure compliance with H&S inductions and the supervision of contractors working on systems under the jurisdiction of ISS
  • Coordinate shut down of systems as and when required
  • Manage the consumables and critical spare parts stock levels for regional sites

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Technically qualified – Electrical biased
  • Strong understanding of Technical sites infrastructure
  • Strong background in Technical Facilities Management with an electrical/ mechanical bias
  • Minimum 3 years? experience
  • Sound understanding of H&S, Environment, QA procedures, and experience of supervising and developing operational teams
  • Fully conversant with Electrical installation and current IEE regulations
  • Good level of IT skills – MS office and associated technical software
  • Experience of supervising a geographically spread engineering team to achieve the improvement in standards from great to brilliant
