The Medical Editor is a full-time, employee role within Envision Pharma Group's Editorial department. We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, proactive team player who will take responsibility for maintaining the high editorial standards already established across Envision Pharma Group. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with members of our scientific and account management teams to meet and exceed client expectations and deadlines. The Editor must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic medical communications agency environment and be able to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing copyediting, proofreading, styling, and formatting across a range of medical communications deliverables and formats, including both print and digital, to ensure consistent high-quality output.
- Taking ownership of projects and working independently to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality standards.
- Liaising with scientific and account management team members to obtain clear project briefs, to schedule projects, and to understand budget considerations.
- Working in partnership with the studio team to ensure quality throughout project development.
- Maintaining account-specific style sheets.
- Participating in internal status meetings.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Editor preferably in the health care and/or pharmaceutical industry.
- Preferably familiar with the current AMA Manual of Style.
- Experience in editing both print and digital materials, and proficient in MS Office suite.
- Strong proofreading skills.
- Proven understanding of technical editing principles.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality of output.
- Well-developed project management skills.
- Proactive and problem-solving approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree level or equivalent experience.
