Job description
Tazaki Foods Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to be based in Enfield. This role is a full time position working Monday to Friday with flexibility to work from home with an annual salary of £40,000 plus 25 days holidays (increasing up to 35 days with length of service), pension auto enrolment with up to 5% Employer contribution, Life Assurance, Staff discount together with continuous developments and long term career prospects as well as social events throughout the year.
As HR Advisor, you will take responsibility as the first port of call for all HR related queries, such as dealing with all recruitment aspects in the organisation, onboarding and offboarding, staff and managers training, advising managers, managing employee relations and performance management as well as ensuring policies are consistent and HR queries are dealt with promptly and reliably. You will be working closely with the CEO and COO in carrying out the HR function to support the business and its strategic plans, supporting 200+ employees across the warehouse in Enfield and Greenwich. In additions, you will also be responsible for maintaining the Company’s visa sponsorship license and pro-actively manage the visas and compliance requirements for our sponsored staff.
Key Tasks/ Responsibilities:
- All day-to-day HR matters including HR administration, produce and issue offer letters, contracts of employment, reference requests, right to work checks and changes to terms and conditions documentation etc.
- Manage the HR system and ensure that all documentation is present, including adding new joiner induction, probation, performance reviews, development plans, salary reviews and exit interviews.
- Reviewing and updating job descriptions.
- Advising and training managers on recruitment and selection strategies.
- Providing advice and playing a major role in work reviews and change processes.
- Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations.
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislations.
- Act as company’s Authorising Officer & Key Contact for Home Office Immigration visa scheme.
- Maintain & ensure compliance with the company’s Sponsors Licence for Workplace visas.
- Act as the company’s Data Protection Officer in relation to General Data Protection Regulations.
- Produce HR reports for workforce statistics, absence data, KPI’s, staff turnover, exit interviews, equal opportunities and diversity, probation and other HR related statistics on a monthly basis for the senior management team.
- Manage all grievance & disciplinary issues.
- Manage all staff welfare issues.
- Manage & administer automatic enrolment of employees to Standard Life Pension scheme and life assurance scheme.
- Assist the COO in drafting and implementation of the company’s policies and Code of Conduct.
- Support department managers in the recruitment and induction process.
- Send monthly schedule of starters & leavers to payroll, manage holidays and sick leave.
- Manage holidays and sick leave, coordinating with payroll on pay related matters.
Candidate Requirements:
- Level 5 HR Qualification or similar preferred.
- Proven experience of Human Resources Management.
- Ability to interpret and apply Employment, GDPR and Immigration law within a work context.
- Excellent written and verbal English a requirement, Japanese an advantage.
- Advanced Excel and IT skills.
- Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
