Job description
We are: a small, design driven, structural & civil engineering consultancy based in Leith. We provide responsive structural and civil design services covering a large range of projects. We are engaged through the full life cycle of projects from concept/pre-planning design stage through to construction. We are looking to expand due to an increasing, and returning, client base. We are a close-knit team who work informally to achieve professional solutions.
You are: an experienced engineer (3-5 years experience) with a strong foundation in structural and civil engineering projects. You have a broad knowledge of design, analysis, design codes and software for a range of project types. You also have good CAD and draughting skills. You have an enquiring mind and are keen to be hands-on through the full life cycle of a project. You embrace variety and contribute to a growing business.
You will: prepare designs, reports & drawings for the company principals; Contribute to technical solutions; provide quality control for deliverables; liaise with clients & architects and respond to queries; carry out site visits/inspections (and hold a driving licence).
