Job description

Position Title: Senior Systems Engineer – ADAS & Autonomy

Duration: 6 Months Contract, 40 hours per week

Location: Working

Outside IR35

Hybrid Working

Position Description

  • Development of ADAS systems
  • Supporting the lead ADAS engineer
  • Responsibilities would include
  • System design & development
  • Architecture,
  • HMI
  • Vehicle integration
  • Writing test procedures
  • Performing vehicle tests.
  • Agree and deliver program targets, support supplier commercial engagement and program delivery through the project.
  • Working as the part of a small team reporting to the Principal Engineer – Safety Electronics you will be required to deliver all critical program activities and be the main contact to engage with the architecture team and project management to define and agree ADAS Electronics for all McLaren vehicle platforms.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • Electronics architecture experience (harness, CAN/LIN protocols, ECUs, sensors) in an automotive environment.
  • Experience of ADAS systems for automotive applications, in particular with BLIS.
  • Experience of the Supplier Management process.
  • Proven track record of system/component design and delivery within automotive/aerospace/engineering.
  • PC literate and at ease with MS Office products
  • SAP design tools (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Modern Vehicle operating systems (preferred ADAS)
  • Experience Test and integration of vehicle Electronics systems.
  • Generation and approval of detailed specifications.
  • Component standardisation.
  • Experience gained in Automotive OEM or tier one supplier.
  • Lab car and mule development and POC activities

  • Engineering Sign off at
  • Software Specification
  • Mantis bug tracking
  • Software drops in line with the platform release schedule
  • DVP Test Reports all completed and signed off.
  • Support system sign off

Essential Skills

  • Systems engineering experience
  • ADAS development experience (traditional radar & camera L1-2 features e.g. ACC, LDW, ISA, DDW, AEB, LKA)

Preferred Skills

  • Development of ADAS & Autonomy architectures
  • SLAM
  • ADAS Embedded Systems development.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

  • GU2 5RW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
