Job description
Essential Functions:
- Mentor and train other engineers throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide
- Work closely with engineering professionals and product managers within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently
- Work closely with engineering professionals and product managers within the company to create and maintain technical product roadmaps
- Provide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee their timely execution
- Be proactive about challenges or constraints within a project and seek to manage them accordingly
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower and time necessary
- Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
- Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
- Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration
- Develop and present recommendations for interfacing new capabilities with existing applications
- Provide systems engineering/technical assistance for planning, testing, implementation, installation, maintenance of products
- Conduct a needs analysis in support of solutions while performing validation assessments for identified requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience developing product roadmaps and system requirements
- Demonstrated project development and leadership skills
- Current understanding of best practices regarding systems engineering
- Professional work experience in team building and project managing
- Advanced education and application of business analysis techniques and strategy
- Experience with hardware engineering, software engineering and customer experience
- Ability to work together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic works well with others
- Excellent verbal/written communication and teamwork skills
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or related degree required or equivalent experience and certifications
- Ability to Travel
