This opportunity is for a permanent position working 75 hours biweekly.
The Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board (WSCB) administers workplace health and safety and workers’ compensation in the territory. WSCB’s mission is to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses in partnership with employers and workers and to support workers when injuries occur. We take care of injured workers by facilitating their stay at work, return to work and recovery.

The Role:
Reporting to the Business Technology Manager, the Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting information systems, network infrastructure and security to meet the needs of Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for contributing to the planning, designing, developing, and implementation of new technology infrastructure and services. The incumbent will be service oriented in providing research and support to the various units within the corporation to achieve efficient delivery of programs and effective administration of service portfolios.
Essential Qualifications:

- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or related program
- Considerable knowledge of the management and configuration of all aspects of a Windows Enterprise infrastructure including Active Directory
- Considerable knowledge of the management and configuration of Microsoft Azure and M365
- Knowledge of the management and configuration of virtual machines in VMWare vSphere 7+
- Familiarity with layer 2 and 3 segmented network technologies such as routed VLANs
- Certifications such as MSCE or ITIL would be an asset
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
