We are looking for an experienced Server Administrator to be a part of our IT Department.

The Role
You will be responsible for the future roadmap, and current support of a range of key business applications, Windows 2019 and Azure Servers, and Cyber Security solutions across the Group.
As well as supporting the operational side of the business and providing third line support to the IT Helpdesk, you will also be responsible for a range of projects to improve and develop new services, both on premise and Cloud based, to meet the demands of a diverse and growing business.
Candidates should have an extensive background in building and managing Windows and Azure Servers, experience in managing strategic projects and leading and coaching junior members of the IT team.
You will also be part of the strategic planning of the technology roadmap to support the Groups ambitious growth plans.
- Develop, Plan and implement projects to continually improve IT systems (Network and Wi-Fi, Cyber Security, Hardware and Software) and offer new ways of working to all business stakeholders
- Introduce new solutions and ways of working utilising the latest Cloud based technology
- Create a robust security and reporting framework for all critical systems
- Ensure that the documentation and support processes are in place and regularly reviewed for all systems
- Build and manage internal and external relationships
- Work with the IT Service Desk to ensure incident/problem management is completed effectively
- Lead and coach the IT team in your area of expertise, ensuring proper processes are in place and followed
- Develop effective Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans for the systems under your control
- Review the security best practice guides and ensure they apply to the Application infrastructure
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current experience of managing an on-premise Windows server environment with a view to reviewing and migrating services (where appropriate) to Azure Cloud
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Servers and Azure platform, including additional Microsoft services and solutions
- Good knowledge of backup and recovery solutions for servers and end user applications and workstations
- Practical experience of Windows Server, Azure, O365, VM Ware and SQL Server
- Experience of leading, coaching and motivating a team
- Strong project management experience
- The ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work with teams across the business
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Accountable and willingness to provide solutions to business challenges
- The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills:
- Managing and Administrating Windows Server including Active Directory and associated technologies
- Supporting Windows User desktop Operating Systems
- Office 365 Management and administration
- N-Able Backup Solutions
- VMWare ESX and virtual environments
- Mimecast, MalwareBytes and Exchange / O365 administration
- BT Cloudworks / Ring Central VOIP Telephony
- 3rd Party Applications such as EPOS systems, HR and Finance systems
- Remote desktops and VPN connectivity
