IT Systems Administrator (full-time)

The Connexus Group comprises of seven businesses providing a complete set of 24/7 insurance, claims and legal services to insurance companies, fleet managers and some of the world’s largest motor manufacturers and dealerships.
Our business is built on strong IT investment and core systems which we support through in-house IT Service Delivery and Digital teams delivering technical solutions to meet our commercial objectives.
We are currently seeking somebody with 3+ year’s demonstrable IT experience who is personable with great drive, takes ownership and comes with a high level of attention to detail in their work.
Main responsibility of the role
· Handle and own requests received from the business into the Service Desk system and to ensure that there is timely and efficient delivery of solutions and fixes.
· Ensure that tickets have the correct prioritisation and categorisation for business requests received into the Service Desk system. Ensure that the latest status of tickets is up to date.
· Dealing with smaller changes to our Proclaim Claims Management system and escalation of support issues to the vendor if they cannot be resolved in-house.
· Provisioning and setup of joiners, leavers and movers including imaging computers, software installation, creating system accounts, permission assignment and handover.
· Assist with monitoring and checking the integrity and operation of IT systems, services and automated tasks in order to maintain high levels of system availability and integrity of data.
· Ensure that the highest standards of data security are maintained throughout activities. Ensure that standards for secure network devices are adhered to when deploying new systems and working with existing.
· Awareness of regulations in relation to the handling of all data, personal or business related, in compliance with legislation and guidelines set out, but not limited to GDPR, FCA, SRA and ISO 27001
· Whilst the role is predominantly North West based occasional travel to London offices and datacentres may be required.
Core skills & expertise required:
- Helpdesk/ServiceDesk experience
- LAN, WAN, Firewalls, DHCP, DNS
- Network patching and workspace provisioning
- Desktop build and Windows Operating systems
- Administration of Windows Server 2012 to 2019
- Administration of Office 365 Exchange Online & Teams
- Antivirus / Backup
- Interest in business process improvement and handling small software changes
