The Role
Yusen have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join our Healthcare Department based in Marston Gate. Our two-stage apprenticeship programme will see you initially complete a Level 3 Digital Support Technician qualification, giving you an insight into providing support to various stakeholders on TMS and the Track and Trace platform for the Healthcare and IFF units, as well as updating and maintaining systems master data. You will have a structured development plan to become a success within Yusen, supporting the organisation’s strategy. With the support of our apprenticeship training partner, Firebrand Training, you will receive a blended method of training whilst learning all aspects of the Digital Support Technician life cycle on the job. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of master data in multiple systems as required, including pricing rules, conditions, condition relations and other master data elements as required
  • Carry out relevant self-audit checks aligned to business requirements to ensure accuracy of changes to master data
  • Owning the new user set up across multiple operational systems
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders to arrange set up of new system users both internal and external to Yusen
  • Deliver training to external stakeholders on various systems to high a level and offering support as needed
  • Provide 1st Line support for Operational users, offering timely resolution and identifying training needs or escalating to 2nd Line support
  • Identify root cause of process functionality failures and provide solutions and report to System Analyst
  • Logging issues and identifying trends
  • Gather and check relevant information to solve problems
  • Identify improvements that could be made, providing a business case to Systems Analyst and relevant stake holders
  • Support Systems Analyst in system testing across all operational platforms when new versions or new functionality is implemented alongside Operational Super User
  • Recording results and reporting findings in a timely and appropriate manner
Working Hours
Remote Mon, Thurs & Fri. Office based Tues & Weds. 8am-5pm, 1hr lunch. Flexibility required when necessary.

Salary
£18,000 p/a

Training Provided
The broad purpose of a Digital Support Technician is to maximise the effective use of digital office technologies, productivity software and digital communications. These will include collaborative technologies, and digital information systems. Apprentices will receive a blended method of learning which include remote meetings, workshops, internal training, and online resources to support them to achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 Digital Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience and knowledge TMS (CarLo – Desirable)
  • Experience of Telematics systems (Desirable)
  • Experience of offering system support
  • A high degree of organisational, communication and administrative skills, with a strong delivery focus
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers from varied backgrounds and cultures
  • Able to engage and others, building and maintaining strong relationships – both internally and externally within all levels of the business
  • Pro active
  • Good Analytical and problem-solving skills
