POSITION SUMMARY The Surveillance Technician Support is responsible for the installation, configurations, maintenance and repairs to the surveillance system and cameras at Rolling Hills Casino Resort. This includes, but is not limited to, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues related to surveillance equipment, ensuring minimal downtime. The Surveillance Technician Support is under the Supervision of the Surveillance Manager. To perform this job successfully the ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Dallmeier and Genetic Surveillance System to be able to perform essential duty satisfactorily. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Providing 24x7 technical supports to the Surveillance department. 2. Diagnose various computer and surveillance system hardware, software and the associated systems and programs. 3. Assist in server and network infrastructure hardware and software maintenance and upgrades. 4. Install and/or maintain wireless LPR cameras and networking equipment. 5. Interact closely and effectively with approved external vendors, integrators and system manufacturer. 6. Serve as a Surveillance Support when not actively engaged in technical support functions. 7. Loads specified surveillance software and perform software updates, monitors and create remote access logs documenting any external and/or approved remote access to the surveillance system servers by the manufacturer or approved integrator as specified. 8. Manages system status, performs system wellness checks and data back-up, maintains equipment malfunction logs and records of repair protocols, 9. Assist in maintaining functionality of various virtual server environments. 10. Works closely with Casino IT team and other casino departments to provide information and reports of activities within the casino. 11. Perform installation of cameras and removal of old cameras. 12. Coordinate emergency service responses with casino Security and outside emergency services. 13. May be called upon to work long hours and maintain a flexible work schedule. 14. Contact integrators and vendors for troubleshoot and repair questions. 15. Other duties as may be assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Minimum of 21 years of age. 2. Valid California driver’s license. 3. Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college of technical school or two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4. Requires demonstrated understanding, and hands-on experience with digital surveillance systems or LAN and WAN routers, switches, firewalls, and network protocols (TCP/IP, LDAP, SNMP, VPN, IPSec, etc.). 5. In-depth knowledge of hardware platforms including storage, RAID, SAN and NAS technologies is desired. Hands-on experience and knowledge of virtual environments is a plus. 6. The ability to be productive, with minimal training, is essential for success in most temporary assignments. 7. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Must be able to work with positive and negative numbers. 8. Qualified individuals should be able to articulate a strong commitment to diversity and can work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds. 9. Knowledge of using basic hand tools, IP network diagnostic tools, and power tools. 10. Ability to climb 12-foot ladder and operate scissor lift. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Two years prior surveillance systems administration or technical support and/or certifications from major vendor or independent certification body in surveillance systems administration, networking technologies (MCSE, MCP, CCNA, etc.) is preferred. 2. Knowledge of AutoCAD design software. 3. Knowledge of terminating CAT6 and SM/MM OM3 Fiber Optic cables. NOTE TO APPLICANTS Must meet the licensing requirements by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee will need to be able to lift at least 25 lbs. The employee will also need to have the visual abilities and physical dexterity to see and work with small and detailed electronic components. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to work near a moderate noise level. The employee may be required to work in an environment subjected to cigarette smoke. This position requires the ability to work non-conventional work hours. Employment with Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians is voluntarily entered. All PBNI personnel are employed on an at-will basis.
