You will be joining a busy and effective team who are committed to providing our learners with healthy nutritious food that they will enjoy eating.The successful candidate will have a ‘can do’ attitude and will be passionate about providing outstanding food and customer service. You will be responsible for preparing, assembling and cooking all menu dishes and, working with the Catering Manager, will drive sales through interesting menus and well-presented dishes, acting on feedback from learners and staff to continuously improve the food offering. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of cost control to ensure budgetary targets are met.Your normal working hours will be 07:00-15:30 Monday to Friday during term time, plus two weeks to be worked during school holidays.The JCB Academy develops business leaders and engineers from Y9 to Sixth Form and provides Intermediate (level 2) and Advanced (level 3) apprenticeship programmes. We also deliver T-Levels in Business and Engineering which provide learners with an additional qualification choice after their GCSEs. Working with the likes of Bosch Rexroth, Harper Adams University, JCB, Rolls‑Royce and Toyota Motor Manufacturing, we ensure that the curriculum is embedded in real industrial practice and includes genuine industrial challenges.
