Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. That’s when it hits home.
We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our awesome team as our Supported Living Worker, working nights. We support our brilliant customers with a mental health diagnosis. They live in their own flats within a large communal garden and we support them with daily living skills, wellbeing, tenancy issues and accessing the community.
We help change our customer’s lives for the better. You’ll play your part by assisting in the delivery of tasks that are based on our customers personal support plans, and their needs and aspirations.
As our Waking Nights Supported Living Worker, you’ll be based in our office on site. You’ll make sure all records are up to date, scanning, archiving, auditing customer files, safeguarding the building by monitoring CCTV and carrying out cleaning duties in the office.
You’ll be on hand to respond to customer queries and signpost them to other services if needed. You’ll be lone working in this job and we’ll ensure you have lots of training beforehand to keep you safe.
We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together we’ll make a difference!
About you
You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
Ideally you’ll have experience working with vulnerable customers, and knowledge of safeguarding.
To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)
When you join as a Supported Living Worker, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
Working hours
In this job you’ll work during the twilight hours doing waking nights work. You’ll work between 7:45pm and 8:15am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night.
About our team
Although you’ll work nights, we do get together regularly in the daytime for training and team meetings. You’ll be part of our wider team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their aspirations and celebrating their achievements. To us we’re not just a team we’re a ‘work family’.
We are a diverse, expanding team made up of a Registered Manager, Senior Client Services Manager, Support Coordinators, Night Support Workers and Support Workers. We don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too!
Be yourself at Home
Home Group is committed to tackling prejudice and discrimination, not just for our customers, but for our colleagues too! We’re super proud of our internal Diversity Networks and allies (Multicultural, LGBTQIA+ and Disability) which support colleagues from different backgrounds to be their true selves. We recognise and celebrate our differences, together we make Home Group a great place to work!
