This is an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker / Project Officer who is passionate about supporting vulnerable people and looking to join our highly engaged team.
Your Housing Group are working in partnership with Riverside and Jigsaw support to deliver our Springboard Partnership and eventually provide 230 units of supported accommodation across the Borough.
Tiernan Lodge is a supported housing project with 20 individual flats, offering people the opportunity to make progress in their lives, to build resilience and meet their aspirations.
As a Project Officer, you will have the ability to relate to a generic, vulnerable client base, from a wide variety of backgrounds.
What will my working week look like?
The Project Officers work both 7 & 11 hour shifts on a 3-week rolling rota between 8am and 8pm, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
You will mostly be working in a busy office environment, however there will be lone working on occasion.
What will I be responsible for doing?
As a Project Officer, you will play a key role in supporting residents to help them achieve their goals, develop independent living and life skills and you will build excellent relationships with residents, colleagues, and professionals from external agencies.
The role will also involve travelling across the Borough to support and manage a caseload in their individual home environment as well as within our staffed scheme.
