Personal Assistants / Support Workers
and have a range of full time and part time posts
in North Tyneside and Northumberland
Equal Partnerships are a limited company that has been set up by two people who have many years’ experience working for people who have a learning disability. We believe that, all people who have a learning disability should have the life they want to have and that everyone is born within his or her own society, and everyone has the absolute right to play a full role in his or her society and local community. Staff are well supported as well as the people receiving support and we pride ourselves in investing in our staff.
We will want you to have a hands-on support role working around the needs of the people we support including getting out and about, accessing work experience, leisure opportunities, discos, theatre trips, bike rides, holidays and looking after the house. The role involves weekend, evening and bank holiday working.
You will need to be proactive, enthusiastic, show initiative and be willing to learn. We are looking for a team players who are flexible with a good sense of humour, a kind heart and a friendly approach.
Current Posts:
· Full and part time posts in Bedlington supporting two ladies
· Part time (approx. 20 hours per week) in Morpeth supporting a young man
· Part time (approx. 20 hours per week) in Earsdon, North Tyneside supporting three people
Skills required:
· Person centred focus
· Good record keeping skills
· Effective communication
· Ability to follow and work to individual support plans
· Level 2 qualification in health and social care desirable but not essential.
The rewards:
· £10.50 per hour (currently under review)
