We are currently looking for a dedicated Support Workers to join our Lynx Day Centre team to support an autistic adult in their own home, and out in the community.
28hrs per week, this is including Bank Holidays. There will be holiday cover and overtime available also if wanted.
Transporting and supporting individuals in the community is a core element of the role and, therefore, possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is essential
You will be supporting an autistic adult in their everyday life, including running errands and supporting and encouraging cooking. If you like cooking, this would also be a plus!
Ideally, you will have a background in supporting autistic people if not, we have a fantastic training programme that will get you on your way to achieving a fulfilling job that will beat
The role includes:
- Supporting adults to achieve their goals
- To guide, prompt, support individuals to undertake activities and learn new skills
- Be fully available throughout the night to attend to the individual needs of person(s) we support enabling them to have a restful night
- To be part of a team around key individuals
This service operates a seven-day rota, and may include some weekends and bank holidays. Your hours will be set, but their may be holiday cover occasionally needed on occasion.
