Job description
At Action on Disability we support individuals to employ their own personal assistants (we are not a recruitment agency; we are a support service).
This means that, you will not be employed by Action on Disability, but directly by the individual themselves or by a representative who is acting on their behalf.
Currently we have a client living in Hammersmith and Fulham, London looking for a Support Worker:
We are recruiting a personal assistant who can support a undergraduate student with autism and some mental health issues to maintain independence in the community.
Job Description
· Accompany client to access community, such as galleries, gyms, social gatherings or other apppointments
· Support client with food shopping and making her own food
· Support client to manage her own daily routines
Person specification
· Physically fit and with a vibrant character
. Interested in in music and art.
- Able to ride a bike.
· The candidate should be understanding, patient, flexible and articulate.
· Some experience in working with clients with autism and mental health issues
Hours of work
11 hours weekly: 5 hours at the weekend, and 3 hours on 2 weekdays
Salary
£13.00-13.75 per hour
