Support Worker – Children Residential Home
Overview:
Our organisation is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at a children's residential home. Reporting to the Home Manager, the Support Worker will be responsible for providing support to the children and young people in our care, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support to children and young people in a residential care setting.
- Build positive relationships with children and young people, promoting their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing.
- Encourage and support children and young people to engage in education, leisure, and social activities.
- Attend to the practical needs of the children and young people, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children and young people's care, progress, and development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the highest standard of care and support is provided to the children and young people in our care.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations and needs.
- Understanding of child development, safeguarding, and child protection.

Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license Preferable
- Experience working in children services or related fields is preferable.
Trust care management have an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic team of Residential Care Workers located in the Peterborough area. The Home is a brand new 4 Bedded Residential Home, located in a countryside village. The Home caters for vulnerable children and young people aged between 8-17 yrs. with learning difficulties and complex needs.
In our residential homes we strive to create an outstanding and friendly, fun environment, that is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for the young people.
Currently we are selecting team members that are passionate about providing outstanding care, who wish to work within a nurturing and therapeutic setting that promotes the development, of not only the young people but also the team members within the home.
