Support Worker - Young Person Cerebral Palsy
Our client is a delightful 17-year-old who is bright, with a wonderful sense of humour and lots of character. He has whole body cerebral palsy, associated care needs, and has a cheerful outlook on life.
He has a great potential for his Cognitive and Physical development, as such he is involved in many therapeutic and social activities with which you will be expected to support him. A creative, positive, imaginative and fun approach is needed to be effective.
We are looking for professional support workers who can commit to long term involvement to provide a stable environment, and facilitate our client to achieve his full potential. They need to be motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individuals with a commitment to supporting our client’s family to care for and support him to live as complete, active and fulfilling a life as possible
You will work closely with his family, and follow specific plans of care which include a wide range of therapies provided though social and recreational activities within the home and the local community. You will receive full support from your Care and Therapy Co-ordinator (Team Leader) as well as a team of professionals, with the opportunity to develop your skills through training with the wider team.
You will be working in a busy family home, so will need to be sensitive to the needs and boundaries of the family and support his parents when it comes to maintaining their structure and values. As well as being conscious of the needs of his siblings and the wider family. Reliability, integrity and complete trustworthiness are essential attributes in this post.

We are looking for someone to join and complete our established support team which provides 24/7 support. This post is for around 30 hours a week, day shifts: weekdays, evenings, sleep nights, weekends and Bank Holidays
Salary £13.85 weekday and £14.40 weekend

Experience:
- Spinal Injury: 1 year (preferred)
- Support Worker: 1 year (preferred)
