Job description
We are offering something completely different to other care companies. Give us a call to find out more. We are owned by a Trust set up for the benefit of our employees/partners, which means you get to share in the profits, with an annual bonus (very much like the John Lewis Partnership). Come and join our amazing team recognised for its high standards of care supporting adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours, in a very rewarding role.
Benefits of working at Moore Care:
- Hourly starting rate range of between £9.90 and £10.50 for new starters (approximately £24,102 to £25,350 - this example is based on a 40-hour per week contract and one sleep-in per week);
- After a year's service, employees/partners share in the profits of the company with the annual EOT bonus. (After five years' service this bonus could be in excess of £2000 and, as we are a Trust, this is paid income tax free.)
- Sleep-in rate currently £67.50 - approximately one sleep-in per week for full time staff. It is your choice if you want to do sleep-ins, they are not compulsory;
- Waking Nights shifts may be available, and are paid at an hourly rate of £13.15;
- Full shift usually at one location however we do require flexibility as you may be required to travel between our locations from time to time;
- You do not need your own transport as you will generally be based at one site/care home (however the ability to drive would be useful);
- Full and part time contract of between 20-40 hours per week (plus overtime when available);
- Comprehensive training including Care Certificate and funded training for Level 2 and Level 3 in Health & Social Care;
- Career development opportunities;
- Double pay for bank holidays;
- Refer a Friend scheme of £120 (unlimited referrals);
- Paid annual leave;
- NOW Pension scheme;
- Staff loans (at Managers' discretion).
- Cycle to Work Scheme;
- Access to an Employee Assistance Support Scheme.
Role description: Based in Buxton and surrounding areas, you will:
- Assist our service users with a range of activities including personal care, shopping and visiting family;
- Enable our service users to have independent and fulfilled lives through community-based activities such as cinema trips, bowling, gardening and farm projects;
- Accompany our service users occasionally on holidays in England and abroad;
- Be prepared to take a flexible approach to shift working as there is a variety of day and evening shifts and this requires alternate weekend working.
This job offers an exciting opportunity to all motivated, dedicated and caring individuals who value a role with great job satisfaction.
You must be based in the UK to apply for this role – we do not offer VISA sponsorship.
