Job description
We're looking for a Support Worker to join our Residential Home team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with elderly residents who suffer from illnesses and/or disabilities, providing them with a variety of personal services, ensuring that their needs are met according to government standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and pleasant living environment for residents.
- Handle daily tasks that promote the safety, health, and well-being of residents.
- Assist with activities of daily living and hygiene for residents.
- Maintain operational service of equipment used to support activities of daily living and assist in the mobility of residents.
- Assist in the preparation and clean up of meals for residents.
- Present information to families about care decisions.
- Facilitate communication between family members and other service providers.
- Help residents with bathing, dressing, using the toilet, etc., as needed.
- Provide companionship, stimulation, comfort and support to residents.
