Job Position: Teacher / Tutor for Elementary Students (Early Literacy, Math, French)
Location: Oak Learners, 394 Royal York Road, Etobicoke, ON
Availability: Flexible Part-time, approx 5-10 hrs per week
Choose availability from: 3-8pm Monday-Friday, 9-1 Saturday*

Job Summary:
As a team member in Education and reporting to the Director, this position is responsible for providing tutorial and academic coaching services for elementary students at Oak Learners.
Main Duties:
- Tutoring assigned students in academic subjects and study skills in a 1:1 setting.
- Creating, researching and obtaining curriculum and tutorial tools that suit the needs of each individual student
- Maintaining records on each student who is being tutored, as well as writing and submitting evaluations and other reports as requested
- Maintaining regular communication with parents about their child’s progress
- Helping students develop self-confidence in performing academic work
Required Experience:
- Must have a Bachelor of Education and be a member of the Ontario College of Teachers
- Preferred Special Education AQ or other AQ’s related to teaching specialties, Learning Disabilities and Exceptionalities.
- Tutoring experience or small class teaching experience preferred
- Strong academic skills and an ability to adapt lessons to the needs of all learners.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario school curriculum and the expected outcomes for students at various grade levels.
- Up-to-date knowledge about learning theories, techniques and resources.

Salary: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
