Job description
Together is an amazing place to work. And it’s not just because we’re one of the UK’s oldest and most respected mental health charities. It’s because we put the people who use our services at the heart of everything we do – supporting and enabling them to take control of their lives and make a positive contribution to the community.
An exciting opportunity to join our supported accommodation service in Northampton, working alongside people with complex needs.
We are looking for an inspiring and compassionate person, who can work creatively alongside people with mental health needs on their journey towards greater wellbeing & independence.
Utilising your passion for empowering people with complex mental health and social care needs, you will be supporting individuals to improve their independence & life quality. Working alongside people to complete and maintain activities of daily living such as cooking, budgeting and accessing the community as well as encouraging skills to self-manage metal wellbeing.
Experience is not essential as we offer excellent training opportunities and a chance to work within a dynamic, friendly working environment, competitive pay, career development & other benefits. However, a passion for supporting people to take control of their own lives and a belief in recovery is crucial. Given the service is a 24 hour service, there is a requirement for all our permanent staff to cover at least one sleep in shift per week (which is paid in addition to salary) as well as regular weekend shifts and a variety of late and early shift patterns.
The benefits of working for Together
Please note that this is a part time vacancy of 22.5 hours per week.
We have a firm commitment to encouraging fairness and diversity in our work force and we welcome applications from disabled people and those from BME backgrounds.
Successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check.
