We empower students to take control of their career paths by connecting them with leading employers and education providers. From work experience placements to apprenticeships and beyond, we are determined to help students discover their future careers – even before they leave education.
We currently work with some of the most exciting organisations in the world including brands such as Airbus, the NHS, Jaguar Land Rover, PwC, Atkins, Deloitte and Nestle. We’re also partnered with schools, colleges and universities and are rapidly scaling to expand internationally soon.
We’re on the lookout for a School and College Outreach Officer to join our team and support our outreach strategy with our schools and colleges. We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about making a difference and engaging young people by inspiring and supporting them in their career decision-making through Springpod experience. You will be experienced in delivering engaging talks and workshops both virtually and in person.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and delivering your own school and college outreach with the support of the wider team where needed.
Creating email campaigns in your target region communicating key messages about Springpod experiences and outlining outreach activities
Ability to plan and deliver engaging workshops and assemblies to young people
To attend careers fairs and events and talk to young people about Springpod
Build relationships with schools and colleges by responding to emails and phone calls
Maintaining accurate records of outreach activities.
Sharing resources with schools and colleges
Sharing feedback from schools and colleges internally to improve or develop the platform to meet their needs
Be responsive to support general requests from schools and colleges sharing with the team for further support if needed.
Keep up to date with any developments around careers education and guidance that may impact Springpod products
Contribute to and undertake activities to develop your skills and knowledge continuously.
Contribute to and support the team as reasonably required.
Who we are looking for:
An ability to develop and maintain relationships
Experience working in outreach/widening participation
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities – you must be used to working in a very fast-paced environment
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills, including social media
Willingness to travel to schools and colleges is essential as well as to the office when necessary
A fun and engaging presentation style but with the ability to adapt style for the different audiences
A positive, proactive approach with the ability to work independently and within the team
Attention to detail and adherence to standards and ability to meet deadlines
A professional and friendly approach with excellent interpersonal skills
An understanding of the UK education system and careers initiatives
