Do you have great listening and communication skills and an interest in supporting vulnerable people?
We are looking for people to join our team at Luke House as Support Workers (known internally as a Project Worker). Luke House Hotel is an emergency hotel that provides support to a mixed client group (male and female) with varied support needs. St Mungo’s currently have 39 bed spaces and the other bed spaces are managed by Tower Hamlets Council. St Mungo’s provide the support element and the Hotel Manager and his team are responsible for the building management. On a day to day basis St Mungo’s have 2x project workers who work 8am-8pm (12hr shifts) and 3x floating support workers who work 9am-5pm.

- Working with clients to identify their personal aims and ambitions and work towards achieving them.
- Providing practical and personal support in an approachable, caring and person centred way.
- Work as part of a dedicated team to provide safe, high quality, positive and inclusive service to clients.
- Working as part of the dedicated team on a weekly shift rota including early and late shifts, weekends and bank holidays. In some of these roles condensed hours can be offered.
About you
Above all we are looking for enthusiastic people who have a genuine desire to support people to transform their lives.
- If you have good interpersonal and listening skills; patience and resilience we will provide you with the knowledge and training you need to work with clients in a holistic and person-centred way.
- If you have a good understanding of the complex issues faced by homeless people; personal experience of homelessness yourself and some experience of supporting vulnerable people through a process of change we encourage you to apply.
