Are you an experienced Personal Assistant / Support Worker looking for a new role that is rewarding and provides a sense of satisfaction? Would you like to provide support to a lady in the community to enable her to live life to the full? If the answer to these questions is ‘yes’, then a Personal Assistant / Support Worker role with My Life Legacy could be for you!
About us
My Life is a highly respected charity and we are currently seeking an experienced Personal Assistant / Support Worker to join an established team of staff working with our client in her lovely Burscough bungalow.
My Life was established in 2012 as a result of a group of people with disabilities and their families wanting something different to traditional types of health/social care services and wanting more choice and control over their own lives. Our staff are integral to the success of the charity as they are the ones making a real difference to people’s lives.
Your Responsibilities
Let us introduce you to the wonderful *Rebecca! Rebecca loves telling jokes to make you laugh. She enjoys trips to the cinema and creating a splash at the local swimming baths. Do you enjoy a rollercoaster or two? Rebecca loves nothing more than a day out to Alton Towers (now wouldn’t that be fun?).
Your role will be to assist her with household chores, with accessing the community, you will work with her to promote her independence and, as part of the My Life team, you will ensure that care and support is provided in a way that respects the individual.
*Name changed for confidentiality.

You will have experience working as a Personal Assistant / Support Worker and you will have supported people with autism, PDA and epilepsy. You will be self-motivated, flexible and have the ability to use your own initiative whilst being caring and sensitive to the needs of others. You will hold a full driving licence.
