Overview
The Deal Desk Analyst 2 is responsible for resolving client and account manager questions regarding negotiated contractual business terms operational issues and assisting with the structuring of deals contracts and the billing audit process.
What you will be doing
- Act as a liasion between account managers and sales managers to facilitate the contract process
- Assist with negotiating contractual business terms with customers and prospects
- Make recommendations to leadership for the billing audit lifecycle to ensure company is maximizing revenue and billing in a timely manner
- Perform review of contract requests prior to submission to legal; make recommendations and determine business validity
- Review, investigate and resolve operational questions and issues for account managers and clients
- Maintain, update, and provide input on guidelines and parameters for non-standard business and contract terms
- Identify and document initial and negotiated pricing terms for incorporation into contracts
- Assist with identifying and documenting clear and concise custom negotiated contract terms
- Provide input to order processing team on custom contract terms
- Manage the deal desk ticketing system by analyzing and resolving complex inquiries, with escalation to leadership as needed
- Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy
What will make you successful
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in software sales or contract negotiation in the software industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of revenue recognition guidelines
- Maintain a general knowledge of company's software functionality and comprehension of licensing strategies
- Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently to completion
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Able to provide exceptional follow through and be customer-service driven
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity, discretion and tact
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
- Up to 10% travel time required
Based on individual states’ employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements: base salary range of $65,000-120,000 and eligible for bonus and benefits
